Bathroom Installation FAQ’s

Yes – we can install flooring that, in your bathroom, looks good, is resilient to water and humidity and can help to prevent people from slipping while they are in the bathroom.

While porcelain and ceramic tiles are often chosen for bathroom flooring, we can provide and install these and various other bathroom flooring options, too – including:

  • LVT (luxury vinyl tile)
  • Stone
  • Polished concrete
  • Rubber
  • Engineered wood flooring

We can help you to choose between these options if you contact us.

Yes. Once we have designed your new bathroom and when we turn up at your property to undertake the installation work proper, we will make that space ready by removing any old fixtures and fittings that are still there and, if simply left there, would impede the installation process.

We might have to temporarily switch off your water and central heating systems to prevent a leak as we clear the room. We can even do all of this underground for a basement conversion

As part of the installation project, we will need to undertake some plumbing work – like making sure your new bathroom’s main fixtures, including the bath, toilet and sink, are all fixed up so that the water in the bathroom can be regularly refreshed as and when necessary.

When we do undertake such plumbing work, your home’s existing toilet facilities will be out of action. However, we will let you know when this is the case, and will work as quickly as possible.

Yes. This is because we can assign a wide range of tradespeople to your project, meaning that all of the required bases are covered. The various bathroom installation jobs we can handle include:

  • Checking any existing electrics
  • Installing new electrical fixtures
  • Replacing piping
  • Tiling the floor and walls

No matter where you are based in London, you can task just our one company with fitting your new bathroom, sparing you the time-consuming task of coordinating multiple separate tradespeople.

You are unlikely to require planning permission unless your home is listed – in which case, you should get in touch with the local planning authority for further guidance. We can prepare and submit your application for planning permission if it is indeed needed.

You are only likely to need Building Regulations approval if the bathroom will be fitted afresh, such as in a former bedroom, rather than refitted. However, we can help you to make sure you have this consent, too, should it be needed.
